June 2010
Summer is flying by... here is some events from June.
Kamri is getting so big and growing up so fast. She is still my happy baby that just loves life.
With her dad being a basketball coach and doing camps, open gyms, etc. We spend a lot of time in the gym. She LOVES playing with a basketball and thinks she is such big stuff when she has one even it is as big as her.

The middle of June was the Micheli Reunion at a youth camp outside of Mountain View. It was fun to see a lot of Brian's family and catch up. Thanks Patty for putting it together this year. Here is some of the "boys" swinging together. Aren't they cute? From left to right... Dave Hokanson, Brian Welper (Amber's Fiance and our good friend in Laramie), Ryan Taylor, and Brian. They had a good time together.

May 2010
In May (I realize its July, yes I'm behind) Joe married Liz in Star Valley. We are so excited to have Liz be an official part of the family. It was a beautiful wedding. Kamri and I had a chance to stay a whole week in SV to see family. We picked Eric's family up from the airport in Jackson and headed "home". Brian came for the weekend but he wasn't out of school until June 8th so he had to work. Matt and Heather were home when we got there. It was so fun to see so much family. Cliff came up for the wedding, but unfortunately his boys got sick and couldn't make it with Keri. We missed them! Here are some pictures of our adventures. Of course for some reason I don't have any pics of the actual wedding just at the ranch. I think I was too busy keep Kamri happy to take any pictures.
Cousin Olivia and Kamri getting to know each other. The girls have to stick together.

Kamri LOVES her uncle Matt. He played with her and read her stories.

Grandpa playing the piano with Kamri. It kept them both entertained!

Olivia and Brian became pretty good buddies in a short amount of time.
Eric, Sarah, and Olivia.... we sure miss seeing them and wished they lived closer.
Kamri sitting on a horse for the first time. She is a natural.

After the Wedding what do you do when there are lots of ranch hands around... brand calves of course. Kamri thought they were pretty entertaining.

6 Month Portraits!
So a friend in Pinedale, Amy Scharf with Imagin You Photography took some 6 months pictures of Kamri Ann and I just LOVE them. I can't believe she is 6 months old already. I couldn't choose which ones to post so forgive me but I put a lot up. She seriously is this happy majority of the time. She definitely loves life to the fullest! She is still a tiny little thing only weighing in at 12 lbs 13 oz at her 6 month check up, but as the doctor says at least we are getting closer to making it on the charts!

No Brace! Hooray!
Well after 3 months little Kamri Ann is out of her brace during the day! HOORAY! She now only has to wear it at night. I think it was more annoying to me than her. Taking that thing on and off was a pain in the butt, she on the other hand started using it as a weapon and would bang it against anything she could find. So who knows she may miss it. She has discovered her toes and it is so cute. She loves to eat them, grab them, kick them, and play as much as she can with them. I think she is afraid they might disappear again so she better get full use out of them. She has been out of her brace for 3 weeks now is loving every minute of it. (stay tuned for more posts to catch up on our lives... 6 month portraits, new house, wedding & more)
Such a happy thing that loves to smile at everyone who will pay attention to her. She is a social butterfly already. Brian says she gets that from her mommy...

Playing Catch Up
So here is a modge podge of what we have been up to the last month. First Kamri turned 4 months old and had her 4 month check-up (I know I know I'm slow...she is almost 5 months now) She weighed a WHOPPIN 10 lbs 3 oz at her check up. That's right people... 10 LBS at 4 months. We've got a scrawny girl on our hands so the doctor had us start trying solids. Well the pictures explain themselves how this went. No matter what the flavor always a wrinkle nosed and a look like get that nasty stuff out of my mouth. Gross! =)

Ewww... Get that nasty stuff away from me
Brian was the head coach for girls basketball this year and I should have been better about taking pictures, but I was too busy cheering in the stands. The program in Pinedale has been down for years so Bri has a long road ahead of him. He did an awesome job this year with the girls though. The learning curve is steep to say the least on being a head coach but he is learning every day. Kamri and I can just say we made it through season 1... WAHOO!
Can you tell who we were cheering for? We are Dad's cheering section!
Coach and his cheerleader!
We live in a great place with an awesome Rec Center. We took Kamri swimming and I don't think you have ever seen a little girl kick her legs as fast as she does in the water. She loves it. I think mostly she loves the freedom of being out of the brace so it is fun to have her play with those cute little STRAIGHT feet! =)

On to Stage 2....
So we are finally on to stage 2 of Kamri's feet fixing procedures. We are out of casts after 7 weeks and on to a very fashionable brace. The first week was a little rough to say the least on getting adjusted to such a device, but we both survived. Poor little thing. Her skin was so fragile from being in casts for 7 weeks that the leather shoes rubbed blisters/sores on her feet. I can't have her out of the brace for more than 5 minutes at a time besides bathtime. So mostly I would just take it off to doctor her sores. She lived on Tylenol for quite a few days, but is finally off the drugs. It was so hard having to put those shoes back as she screams in pain, but WE made it through and I'm finally getting my happy Kamri girl back. She wears the brace about 23 hours a day for 3 months then she will just wear it at night until she is 2 or 3 years old. The brace is just to hold her feet in position as she grows, so they won't naturally turn back in.
She loves to cuddle any soft blanket now days to fall asleep. This cracked me up, one day she was playing with her toys and decided she would attempt to roll over with the brace (notice the outside leg straight in the air) she can roll over with it, but she ran into the arch. The whole thing just wore her out so she fell asleep twisted around the arch with one leg straight in the air.

"Brothers"
I have been helping an accounting firm here in Pinedale out 20 hours a week during tax season. My friend Tamara watches Kamri for me 3 mornings a week. It makes me feel good that she is in good hands. Tamara has 3 little boys, 2 of which are still at home, and boy do they LOVE Kamri. It is so cute to watch. She gets all the attention in the world when she is there and eats it all up. They lay on the floor to talk and play with her. Since I have 4 older brothers it is so fun to watch these little boys adopt her into the family. They get very protective just like my brothers did, so I tell Tamara these are her adoptive brothers. (Photo credit of Tamara's blog where I stole them... THANKS!)
